IntensityLab ground motion records — nc75382936

The input ground motion behind each IntensityLab animation of this earthquake.
Event page: https://intensitylab.com/events/nc75382936/#ground-motions

Files
  *.acc.bbp acceleration, cm/s/s
  *.vel.bbp velocity, cm/s
  *.disp.bbp displacement, cm
*.png plot of all three, with the stretch the animation shows shaded

Each .bbp file is plain text in the SCEC Broadband Platform layout: lines
starting with '#' are a header (the earthquake, the site, where the motion came
from, how it was processed, peak values), then four whitespace-separated
columns: time(s) N-S E-W U-D. Note N-S comes before E-W.

Read one with, for example, Python:
    import numpy as np
    t, ns, ew, ud = np.loadtxt("file.acc.bbp", comments="#", unpack=True)

File names are <animation type>_<site>_<source>:
source bbp a physics-based simulation (SCEC Broadband Platform),
one realization; t = 0 is the rupture origin time
source observed a seismic station's recording, instrument response
removed; t = 0 is the origin time
source kanai_tajimi a synthetic fitted to the ShakeMap PGA; its time axis
                       is the synthetic's own

For visualization and education. A single simulation realization, one
station's processed record, or a synthetic fitted to one PGA value is not
an engineering estimate of ground motion at this site.
